Blizzard to Enhance Horses in Diablo 4 After Player Feedback
Blizzard Entertainment recently confirmed that it will be making improvements to the horse mechanics in its highly anticipated game, Diablo 4. Players have criticized the horses for being too slow, getting stuck on objects in the environment, and having a lengthy cooldown on their activation.
During a livestream, representatives from Blizzard addressed these concerns and revealed that they are actively working on improving the collision in the game. This update aims to prevent horses from getting caught on objects and abruptly stopping, frustrating players in the process. Joe Shely, the game director of Diablo 4, also acknowledged another player request, stating that they will add the ability for mounts to break through barricades, making them more user-friendly.
In response to a tweet from a fan, Shely also agreed that climbing or descending a ladder should reset the mount’s cooldown. This proposed change would allow players to utilize their horses efficiently and minimize unnecessary delays.
Horses play a crucial role in Diablo 4 as a means of travel, especially for navigating through endgame content efficiently. By addressing player concerns and enhancing the horse mechanics, Blizzard aims to improve the overall gameplay experience for its dedicated fanbase.
This news comes on the heels of Blizzard’s recent announcement regarding balance changes for the Barbarian and Sorcerer character classes, set to go live on August 8. These changes are expected to further refine the gameplay and ensure a more enjoyable experience for players.
Despite some early critiques, Diablo 4 has already made a significant impact in the gaming world. With over 10 million players in June alone, it has become Blizzard’s fastest-selling game to date. This unprecedented success solidifies the game’s position as a must-play for fans of the Diablo franchise and demonstrates the enduring popularity of the series.
As Blizzard continues to listen to player feedback and make improvements, fans eagerly anticipate the full release of Diablo 4 and the countless adventures that await them in the game’s rich and immersive world.
