Apple’s upcoming iPhone 15 Pro models are set to be more expensive than their predecessors, according to analyst Tim Long from Barclays. Long’s estimations suggest that the iPhone 15 Pro could cost up to $100 more than the iPhone 14 Pro, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max could be $100 to $200 more expensive than the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
However, the standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models are expected to have similar pricing to their predecessors. If Long’s estimates hold true, the pricing for the iPhone 15 lineup in the U.S. could look something like this: iPhone 15 ($799), iPhone 15 Plus ($899), iPhone 15 Pro (up to $1,099), and iPhone 15 Pro Max (up to $1,299).
A rumor circulating about the iPhone 15 Pro Max suggests it will feature an upgraded Telephoto lens with periscope technology, allowing for a 5-6x zoom without blur. This feature is expected to be exclusive to the Pro Max model, which may contribute to its higher price tag.
It’s important to approach price estimates for future iPhones with a healthy dose of skepticism, as they are educated guesses and not always accurate. Similar predictions have often proven to be false in the past.
Apple is anticipated to announce the iPhone 15 lineup in September, despite potential manufacturing issues with the Pro models’ displays. Alongside the rumored pricing information, there are other highly anticipated features such as a USB-C port, titanium frame, customizable Action button, faster A17 Bionic chip, thinner bezels, Wi-Fi 6E support, increased RAM, and an upgraded Ultra Wideband chip.
Adding more credibility to the price speculation, Bloomberg has also reported that Apple is considering raising the prices of the iPhone 15 Pro models.
All the official details regarding pricing and features will be revealed when Apple unveils the iPhone 15 lineup in the coming months. Fans and tech enthusiasts eagerly await the announcement that will determine the future of Apple’s most popular product line.
